Most biographies are long, detailed lists of shining achievement, but they can lack any genuine personality. I'd rather treat this page like a Starbuck's coffee cup. Whenever I order coffee, I enjoy reading the thoughtful green quotes on the back. A few of my coffee friends posed nine questions for this page.
What Does the Color Purple Bring to Mind? Morning Glories. Last summer, I planted deep purple morning glories and white moonflower vines on the column of our front porch. The vines grew so wildly they nearly engulfed my clients when they knocked on the door. It's also the name of a novel that was very important to me.
Do You Believe in ET's and UFO's? Emphatically. It's not about belief to me. I've had an experience that's essentially "unbelievable" to many. I think you simply need to consider these two numbers: The Hubble Space Telescope estimates that there may be as many as 125 billion galaxies. Given this number, it's unreasonable and vain to assume we're the only galactic inhabitants.
How Has the Development of Your Intuition/Psychic Ability Affected Your Life? My husband gets very, very good advice for free! One a more serious note, the initial development was very exciting, but it quickly became chaotic. It became fluid once I learned to differentiate between a psychic imprint, intuition, divine guidance, and my own evolving consciousness into pure soul (among other aspects). The impulses are all very different and distinct. I apply them all differently.
Who Has Had the Greatest Influence on Your Life? My husband, family, and friends, of course, I remember having my soul moved by Martin Luther King Jr. He was the visionary I trusted, and the first prophet that touched my heart. My parent's religion (evangelical Christianity) made a mess of God and Jesus, and from an early age (9), I wanted nothing to do with religion. However, I did want to experience faith, and believe the world would one day be just. Finally, at age 12, I discovered a set of Martin Luther King's recorded speeches at the local library. He helped me to realize our "Promised Land" is found in our actions toward each other. What more can any prophet teach?
What's on Your I-Pod: I love my red Nano I-Pod (and my white Mac notebook). The I-Pod is only 1/2 full, but TV on the Radio, Jimi Hendrix, Mos Def, Dragons of Zynth, Jay-Z, Mary J. Blige, Stevie Wonder, Me'Shell Ndegeocello, Anthony Hamilton, Oasis, Nina Simone, Amy Winehouse, Gnarls Bakley, Cee-Lo Green, Chris Whitley, The Roots, Van Hunt, Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals, Marvin Gaye, Van Morrison, Wyclef Jean, Jeff Buckley, John Legend, New Order, and Kanye West power my I-Pod at the moment. I have hundreds of CD's waiting to be added.
What Do You Feel is the Major Purpose of Your Present Incarnation? One major purpose is to teach by example. I know this completely. My larger purpose is to co-create with God. My infinite purpose is to be love for my husband and family. I don't feel that we incarnate to fulfill strict roles, but more with affinities, knowledge, connections, and the soul direction we have cultivated over many lifetimes. We use all of this in conjunction with free will. I do feel that my studies, meditation, teachings, and behaviors have enormous spiritual purpose in all realms, but that is true for everyone.
What Do you Have the Most Fun Doing? Being around my husband. Period. He's a beautiful, exceedingly cool man, husband, artist, and human being. I swear our home isn't big enough for both of us (and our 4 animals), and he gets on my nerves, but ultimately he's my compadre in the revolution act of living here on Earth in this day and age. This is just another go around together. That's how much I dig him.
What is Something We Should Practice Everyday to Become a Better Person? I'm not big on suggesting universal practices, or giving anyone something else to do. I'd say move towards experiences that confirm that you are inherently worthy of your own unconditional love and respect, and away from ones that don't. We all reap the rewards of a single soul reaching towards self-love.
If You Could Live Anywhere, Where Would it be? I will live in the place that is my fantasy. Give me 5 years. It's two places. Four months in our Michigan home, and the rest in our solar/zero energy/off-the-grid/free energy home on 40+ acres in a wildly sunny, tropical spot.
